Masterclass
Innovation Centre Denmark in Boston Silicon Valley have teamed up with the Danish
Foundation for Entrepreneurship to host expert instructors from the UC Berkeley
Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology to ‘train the trainers’ at Danish
universities, professional schools and colleges.
Over the course of two intensive days of lectures, breakout sessions and group work
building on tools from the UC Berkeley entrepreneurship curriculum, you will learn
about:
- Teaching students to identify opportunities and build entrepreneurial solutions
- Supporting your students in their journey to test and launch their solutions
About the Course
The course training is based on the instructors' experience teaching Challenge Lab - UC Berkeley's premier project-based entrepreneurship course that takes students through the early steps of the journey of building a new technology venture. The course focuses on the following topic areas:
- Team Formation
- Problem Discovery
- Solution Development
- Customer Discovery
- Value Proposition & Business Models
- Prototypes
- Leadership & Execution
- Customer Acquisition
- Intellectual Property
- Finance & Funding
- Storytelling & Pitching
Instructors will share their experiences and methods of teaching these topics through a variety of methods and frameworks. They will focus on the design and execution of project-based courses as well as best practices in teaching these topics using a variety of techniques designed to address the different learning styles we face in the classroom. Finally, participants will be engaged in games and activities to help them better understand the student's perspective of learning entrepreneurship.

About the Instructors
The Masterclass will be taught by Ken Singer, Chief Learning Officer & Managing Director, and David Law, Director of Global Academic Programming & Startup Programs at UC Berkeley Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship (SCET).
SCET is the primary hub for entrepreneurship education at UC Berkeley, the world’s best public university and a top-tier institution for generating entrepreneurs in the US
Background
The Masterclass was born out of the 2019 Entrepreneurship Academy, where Innovartion Centre Denmark in Boston and Silicon Valley brought six Danish universities, the Innovation Fund Denmark and the Danish Foundation for Entrepreneurship to visit entrepreneurial, forward-thinking institutions incl. MIT and UC Berkeley.
