”AI is today what IT was 30 years ago. You do not have to be the best in the world, but if you are not at least on the bandwagon, you will get nowhere". This is how the world's leading innovation expert Christian Ketels described the challenge with AI when he was the keynote speaker at ATV's annual meeting in August.
AI start-ups received more than 30 billion dollars in funding last year, with the world’s largest companies especially investing heavily in artificial intelligence. AI acquisitions saw a more than 6x uptick from 2013 to 2018. In 2018, Roche Holding acquired the AI startup Flatiron Health for $1.9B — one of the largest M&A deals in AI, ever.
AI is fundamentally changing the terms of doing business and the business world generally recognizes the potential for artificial intelligence. But there is a need to share more knowledge and experiences in order to inspire companies so they can accelerate growth, innovation, and digitalization.
We have therefore created a series of webinars directly from Silicon Valley, to inspire, share knowledge, and give concrete guidance on how companies can approach the work with data and AI – from the beginning strategic phase to implementation across, to ethical considerations.
