EdTech - The Future of Digitalization in Higher Education in the US

The pandemic has accelerated the already persistent digital transformation of the higher education sector in the US. Education Technology (EdTech) start-ups in the States raised more than $803 million in venture capital in the first half of 2020, following a record year of $1.7 billion in 2019. Universities such as Stanford, Berkeley and MIT are already implementing ground-breaking EdTech, and the need for great technologies and more personalized and interactive learning approaches and solutions across Americas’ approx. 5,300 universities and colleges has never been higher. This provides great potential for Danish EdTech companies whose innovative solutions can be part of the answer to the digital transformation in higher education in the US.

Innovation Centre Denmark in Silicon Valley is therefore together with Edtech Denmark inviting Danish start-ups, SMEs and other providers of learning technologies and services with a focus on the higher education segment, to an open webinar on The Future of Digitalization in Higher Education in the US. Here we will provide an overview of the Edtech landscape and trends, as well as gain insights from Danish Area9 on how they succeeded entering the US marked for higher education. The webinar is also a first step towards a specialized program in the fall, aimed at helping Danish EdTechs expand to the growing U.S market. The program will be further introduced at the webinar.
