Why did you pursue an internship at the Denmark in Silicon Valley mission?
I wanted an experience of a lifetime. It appealed to me to test theory in practice. Silicon Valley was the best place in the world, I could imagine doing just that. Everything is bigger and faster here than in Denmark
What's been your most significant professional learnings gained from being here?
Networking is crucial. There is a completely different mentality in Silicon Valley, known as 'pay it forward.' Everyone is open and helpful, and I have met some of the coolest and most inspiring people in the world. It's more about who you know than what you know. Skillful individuals build great companies, not just good ideas.
How has your internship experience in Silicon Valley influenced your future career goals?
Being an intern at ICDK, Silicon Valley has given me a completely new perspective on my career and what is possible. It can be challenging to imagine from Denmark, but here, it becomes evident that there are no limits to how far any idea can be taken with the right mindset and energy.
How would you describe your personal growth during your internship in Silicon Valley?
I have gained a much broader perspective. Moving to the other side of the Earth for half a year provides an experience for life, where I have learned a lot about myself and developed both my professional and personal curiosity.
How has it been living in and experiencing California?
California has so much to offer that six months feels like too short a time. The countless national parks provide nature experiences like I have never seen before. The journey along the coast from San Francisco over LA to San Diego also stands out as a unique experience.
