We are looking for a Senior Innovation Advisor in the areas of Innovation, Business Development, Internationalization and Entrepreneurial support in one of the most interesting and fast-paced business acceleration ecosystems. You will be a part of a team working with the “Future of Health”, which means that experience with health innovation or life sciences is preferred but not required.


As Senior Innovation Advisor, you will be part of a highly skilled team. You will provide your experience and expertise within development, implementation, selling and execution of professional services supporting Danish entrepreneurs, SME’s, large corporations, knowledge institutions and a wide variety of key stakeholders - gaining access to, insights, foresights, aspirations and inspirations from Silicon Valley. 

You will take a leading part in delivery of intelligence, advisory and learning focused on innovation, business development, strategic issues and investment ventures in a very diverse, friendly and yet output-driven environment. Furthermore, you will work with the other six Innovation Centres globally, with specifically close collaborative ties to the Innovation Centre in Boston regarding the strategic focus area “Future of Health”. 

The main prerequisites are that you are a genuinely experienced consultant, preferably with experience within one or more of the following areas: Health innovation & digitalization, pharma/biotech and/or medtech.


It is essential that you thrive in a fast-paced environment where you will get a lot of responsibility and influence in defining and executing your daily tasks.

  • Knowledgeable within development, implementation and execution of high impact services

  • An open-minded person with a strong drive to perform both on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Analytical and execution oriented as well as having an eye for details and seeing things all the way through
  • An excellent verbal and written communicator in English

We offer a local contract with salary and other conditions regulated according to the Staff Rules of the Consulate General in Silicon Valley. We expect to fill the position before August 1, 2022. The position is on a contract basis and initially offered for a 2-year period with possible extension.

Innovation Centre Denmark Silicon Valley was established in Palo Alto, California in 2006 and is an innovative cooperation between the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Danish Ministry of Research and Higher Education. The Innovation Centre works closely together of the Consulate General of Denmark, representing Denmark on the West Coast of USA.

The Innovation Centre is part of a global network of seven Innovation Centres collaborating on cross cutting projects. As a key partner in the network of Danish representations in North America, the Innovation Centre team also encompasses team members in the wider region of USA, contributing to fulfilling joint objectives.
